List of mountain peaks of the Rocky Mountains

This article comprises sortable tables of major mountain peaks of the Rocky Mountains of North America.
Topographic elevation is the vertical distance above the reference geoid, a precise mathematical model of the Earth's sea level as an equipotential gravitational surface. Topographic prominence is the elevation difference between the summit and the highest or key col to a higher summit. Topographic isolation is the minimum great circle distance to a point of higher elevation.
This article defines a significant summit as a summit with at least 100 meters (328.1 feet) of topographic prominence, and a major summit as a summit with at least 500 meters (1640.4 feet) of topographic prominence. An ultra-prominent summit is a summit with at least 1500 meters (4921.3 feet) of topographic prominence.
==Highest prominent summits==
The following sortable table lists the 100 highest major mountain peaks of the Rocky Mountains with a topographic prominence of at least 500 meters (1640.4 feet).〔This prominence cutoff of 500 meters (1640.4 feet) is much higher than the 91.44 meters (300 feet) traditionally used for the lists of fourteeners, hence many traditional fourteeners are not included on this list.〕 Topographic elevation is defined as the vertical distance above the reference geoid, a precise mathematical model of the Earth's sea level as an equipotential gravitational surface. A total of 78 of these highest peaks are located in Colorado, 10 in Wyoming, 5 in New Mexico, 3 in Montana, 2 in Utah, and 1 each in British Columbia and Idaho.
The first 64 of these Rocky Mountain summits have at least 4000 meters (13123.4 feet) of topographic elevation and at least 500 meters (1640.4 feet) of topographic prominence.
